Leica 35mm f1.4 Summilux (Type II) (Goggles, Black Paint Brass Infinity Lock) (11871) - Lens

Manual focus wide normal lens made for M-mount rangefinder cameras introduced by Leica in 1966. This is the second version of the original Summilux from 1960, designed for use with the M3, and was introduced at serial number 2166701. It comes with accessory goggles to make the viewfinder accommodate 35mm frame lines. Type II lenses use Series VII filters and the 12504 hood instead of the older E41 filters and the OLLUX 12522 hood. The lens was no longer available in silver after this change. NOTE: The product code from the silver type I carries over to the black type II. All type II lenses with goggles have an infinity lock. The infinity lock was either non-painted chrome or black-painted brass. All type II goggles were black-painted brass. Metal body available in black (11871).
