Leica 560mm f6.8 Telyt-R (3rd Cam) (11865) - Lens
Manual focus telephoto lens made for R-mount 35mm SLR cameras, introduced by Leica in 1971. This lens consists of two parts: a lens unit and a lens tube. The lens tube is available in both M-mount (Visoflex) and R-mount. This catalog is for the lens unit and R-mount tube with a combined code of 11960. The lens tube is also compatible with the 400mm f6.8 Telyt-R lens unit (11960). Lens tubes manufactured after 1971 are equipped with a special filter slot for Series VII filters. The lens unit has a manual aperture, a push/pull focus mechanism, and a built-in retractable hood. Despite the manual aperture, the lens tube still has the 3rd Cam on the bayonet. 3rd Cam (R Cam) lenses only have the third stepped cam as seen on the 3-Cam version. They are compatible with R-series cameras only and will not fit the Leicaflex cameras. Note: The lens unit itself does not have "R" written on the nameplate because it is identical on both the M and R systems. Metal body available in black (11865).
