
Leica Rapid-Winder Base Plate (Silver, SCNOO) - Accessory
Rapid film winder introduced by Leica in 1935. It is comparable with prewar cameras up to the Leica IIIB. It replaces the baseplate and allows the user to advance the film by pulling a lever for continuous rapid action shooting. Very early models utlilze a metal ribbon but this was quickly changed to a tightly woven silk tape for safety reasons. A later version compatible with the IIIc and IIId were developed in the early 1940s called the SCNOO-C. Metal body available in silver (SCNOO).
